Fouqia is a a talented, focused and an enterprising person. Her intelligence, "never say never" spirit and friendly disposition are her core strengths and makes her popular both, in her professional and personal life.
As her Journalism lecturer, I have been closely associated with Ms Wajid, teaching her Media Management and Development Communication. She is highly motivated, hardworking and would actively participate during class discussions. During class presentations, she was able to articulate her thoughts clearly.
Apart from academics, Ms Wajid has proved to be a multi-faceted personality, taking part in theatre and even founding a theatre group, publishing a book of poems and authoring several books.
I strongly recommend Ms Wajid that her knowledge, skills and motivation will make her an asset wherever she goes.
Fouqia is one of the few people i have seen doing justice to the varied skill sets she is blessed with. She is an amazing leader who can fill energy into any team. A magician when it comes to producing results. She is a passionate artist with clear vision. Her writings and plays always carry the social element in it. I was always amazed by her ability to multi task.
At the same time she is bold and compassionate which makes her equally good individual and team player. With my experience of working closely with her i could guarantee, she is the one you can rely on to lead any project.
One can look for innumerable quantities in a person; one may or may not find them. In case of Fouqia, there are two that stand out: enterprise and a cheerful spirit. In today's world, these two qualities are not easy to find in one single person. I wish her well.
Fouqia and her team have proved themselves time and again to be the ambassadors of good work and promoting young authors.
I've known Fouqia as an earnest, enthusiastic student in class and a pro-active participant in extra-curricular activities, be it, Theatre, Speaker's Forum or the English Association. Her first collection of poetry was a testimony of her creative linguistic repertoire. Subsequently, during her under-graduate years, she has continued being an active proponent and pioneer in utilising language as a tool of not just communication but also as a medium of catalysing social and cultural change in a multi-cultural society like that of India. Her organisational skills, meticulous planning, compassionate people skills will stand her in good stead in any vocation she chooses in the near future
came to know Fouqia during the making of Aatish, which is a poetry collection on social issues compiled by Fouqia. The way she handled the entire thing was simply fantastic. She handled such a sensitive topic very well and the book touched my heart. (I was also one of the contributors).
Later, I kept tracking the activities which she was doing for 'On Fire' and I am sure that it requires a real passion for this. I am happy that she has that fire and passion.
Working as Fouqia's coach during her period of Internship, I can attest to the fact that she is extremely driven in her goals and able to multi-task by juggling multiple roles and responsibilities. She is unique in her approach to problems and courageous in following them up and finishing the set task. Her high energy and distinctive style will be a great addition to any team and I highly recommended her.
Working with Fouqia has never been easy, building a team of 25, all creative experts in their field of their interest. It would not have been possible to have a youth movement which touched youngsters in Bangalore without such a stand, and a vision. I have seen Fouqia starting the movement ONFIRE from the day one and what is amazing about her is never quitting attitude and dedication towards her commitment.
